Frequently asked questions...
Will the filming become intrusive?
Our unobtrusive manor and discreet fly-on-the-wall style allows us to capture you and your guests at their very best. In fact many of our clients compliment us on our discreet style, and comment that friends and family were often unaware of our presence. Past Bride and Groom’s tell us that they were surprised at the detail contained in the finished film and how much of the day they had missed or already forgotten!
What equipment do you use?
We use Sony Professional High Definition 1080i cameras and edit digitally to ensure no loss of quality throughout the whole production. We also pay great attention to sound recording and use a radio mic & a digital audio recorder during the ceremony and the speeches.
Will the editing make a difference?
Our style of editing will greatly enhance the finished video. We use your choice of music for the opening titles, which will set the tone and style for the film that follows, during the photo shoot, the montage section, credits and of course your first dance if required.
The choice of music for certain parts of your video will have a big influence on both the style and feel of the finished production. This is the key to giving the raw footage a more emotional, enriched feel. We always endeavour to produce a film which is both stylish and entertaining.
When will we receive the finished video?
The editing process is very time consuming and it depends on the time of year. Our busiest time is between May and September. At this time, we endeavour to deliver your videos within 3 - 4 weeks.
What music do you use?You can choose tracks from your favourite albums. The cost of PPl and MCPS (limited manufacture licence) music dubbing licenses are included in our package prices.
Are you insured? PlusPictures has Professional Indemnity Insurance for £100,000. Also Public and Products Liability Insurance for £5,000,000. Copies of our policy are available for inspection on request.
How far in advance should we book your services?
We are frequently booked over a year, and sometimes two years in advance, so please check our availability by phoning Freefone 0800 6335784 as soon as possible. The videographer should ideally be booked around the same time as the photographer and cars etc. Please note that a booking is not confirmed until we receive your deposit of £100 (which is non returnable) and signed contract. A letter of confirmation and a copy of the contract will then be sent to you. We will contact you (or meet with you if possible) four weeks prior to your wedding to plan your video in detail. At this point we will also request the balance of payment from you. We always try to attend church rehearsals.
Do you set shots up?
No. We use a documentary style of filming and record events as they happen. We try to work closely with your photographer and, during the photo shoot whenever possible we will capture your guests reaction. We only ask that you spend 10 – 15 minutes with our videographer after the photo session to record a short sequence for the highlight section.
How many cameras do you use? We use two cameras during the course of the day. (Providing permission is granted and there is space in the marriage venue) Camera two will be setup on a stand whilst camera one will be mobile.
What areas do you cover?
We travel anywhere on the English mainland. There are no additional charges; the package price we quote you is the price that you pay.
Do your DVDs & Blu-ray discs have chapters and scene selection? Yes. Our DVD & Blu-ray discs are fully authored to include chapters and thumbnailed video scene buttons. All are supplied to you in ‘Amaray’ photo cases.
